Girls Inc. knows paying for college can be challenging. Our members can apply for scholarships offered by us.
Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta is proud to offer financial assistance to girls on an annual basis through two scholarship funds, along with a scholarship for one deserving mother.

Applications for the 2025 Joyce Dunaway Parker Scholarship and Strong, Smart, and Bold Scholarships are now open to current and former Girls Inc. participants in the 9th-12th grade.
All scholarship entries must be submitted by Monday, June 30, 2025.
Strong, Smart and Bold Scholarships
Presented each year at the Strong Smart Bold Awards event, these scholarships are awarded to three girls that embody the spirit of our mission by inspiring their peers and community to be strong, smart, and bold. These scholarships can be used towards any education-related costs; including tuition, books, supplies or other fees.
The Joyce Dunaway Parker Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to girls seeking funding for educational purposes, including a trade or vocational education, professional certificate program or a college or university program. This scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $1,000.00 thanks to the generous contributions of our affiliate’s founder, Joyce Dunaway Parker.
Empowering Moms of Excellence Scholarship
This is an annual award that goes to one deserving mom in pursuit of career aspirations. This scholarship is open to all mothers of children who participate or have participated in programming through Girls Inc of Greater Atlanta.
The opportunity is open to applicants of all ages, backgrounds, and academic disciplines. Applicants must be in pursuit of a licensure/certificate, training, course, or academic degree that will shift or advance their career or position. All applicants must submit responses to the questions in 500 words or less.
