Kayla, a member of our first Eureka! Cohort, has been an enthusiastic participant since 2021. Known for her intelligence, insight, and kindness, Kayla has embraced the opportunities Eureka! offers—gaining new skills, building friendships, and exploring STEM fields. Through hands-on experiences and leadership development, she’s grown into a confident young woman ready to take on her next challenge in Project Accelerate.

Reflecting on her journey, Kayla shared: “Eureka! has helped me become the best version of myself, living as a young, intelligent Black girl. Meeting successful Black women inspired me to follow in their footsteps. Girls Inc. has shown me love and support, from pep talks to connections that will help me in college and beyond. They’ve helped me build leadership skills and taught me how to present myself confidently as a young Black girl in STEM.” Kayla’s story is a powerful example of the impact Girls Inc. has on nurturing future leaders.
