Jazlyn joined Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta last summer, stepping into a new environment with uncertainty. With the support of her older sister, Jaelyn, in our PREP program, she quickly found her place. As she adapted, Jazlyn’s leadership skills emerged, and she fully embraced the experience—especially dance, which she described as her favorite part of summer because it made her happy and allowed her to learn new things. Now, she continues to grow through our weekend and afterschool programs, exploring all that Girls Inc. has to offer.

Her growth has been remarkable. In our afterschool program, Jazlyn was named Girl of the Month for her emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and maturity. She recognized areas for personal growth, took accountability for her actions, and worked to strengthen her relationships—an impressive level of reflection for a second grader. With her resilience and drive, Jazlyn is already a young leader in the making, and we are so proud of her journey.
